Port Meirion prints finished

I didn’t realise how long it has been since I last posted..and I did promise to show the finished prints of these views…a long time ago!

They are all 15 x 20cm (image size) and are 10 colour reduction linocuts, in an edition of 20 each image. I will be adding these to my shop soon @£70 mounted and cello wrapped.

Some coastal scenes..nearly finished

I’m still busy busy, getting ready for the BCTF (British Craft Trade Fair) at the beginning of April. Too busy to post too it would seem! Here are a few process photos of some views of Port Meirion in Wales. I will be doing some prints of the place itself, because I love it, but I do also love the view away from it, across the estuary with the sand banks and hills in the background. Just a couple of layers to go then I should be done. I realise that some of the colours may look a bit weird, but they will be covered up with the next layer.
I will post much nicer photos when they are finished!

Tilly Dog finished!

I started this print way back in October last year but had to put it aside for a while for all the fairs I was doing before xmas. Also, I wanted to take my time over this (that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!), as I was quite apprehensive about how to do the ‘shine’ on such black fur. I can’t tell you how long I stared at my dog to gauge the right shade of grey/blue to use under the final very dark blue/black – she did look a bit worried at times!

Final print

Here are the process photos. I used two blocks, one for the dog and one for the background. There are three colours on each, and as they don’t overlap, drying time was quicker and there is no thick build up of ink which can make the print look quite shiny.
These are still drying, then I have to edition them. When they are done I will put them on my online shop!

I have an online shop!!! Woo!

screen-shot-2016-10-24-at-19-27-49Well, finally I have stopped procrastinating long enough to do some research on shopping carts, (my life is SO exciting), only to find out that I can’t embed one on this website/blog. Not to worry though, as it’s the easiest thing to link to another site, and best of all, it appears to be working!

I have (most of) my original prints on there as well as a good selection of greetings cards (including some suitable for Christmas!) and I will be updating as and when I do more prints! Please do have a gander – just click on the picture above and you will be directed to the site. Once there, if you want to return to this blog, just click on ‘return to site’ in the right hand column.

Oh – you thought I’d forgotten didn’t you?  Alright then, go on, have free shipping for all orders for one month, use this code at the checkout – NEWSHOPPOST – and don’t keep it to yourself – tell your friends and family!!

(Offer ends 30th Nov 2016)
