The last week of this wonderful course. I had such fun just drawing anything, even really mundane, everyday things. Here’s a selection of my drawings from the last week. So now I’m still trying to draw something everyday, it won’t always be worth sharing so don’t hold your breath folks!
Also, I’ve signed up for Skethcbook Skool with Koosje Koene and Danny Gregory which starts in April, and I am very excited about that!!
Oh, and I will be doing some more Lino prints soon, that’s the whole point of this course, to get me back into drawing instead of using my photographs as my only reference.
Here’s the result of the past two week’s sketching and painting course I have been doing. It’s really been fun and it’s so nice to make myself do this on a daily basis. These aren’t particularly great but I am re-learning to look at things and to use different media without feeling apprehensive about it.
Here are my first weeks efforts for the online drawing course ‘Awesome Art Journaling’ with Koosje Koene.
OK, so there are only 6, not 7 drawings…went to the pub with hubby so no drawing last night!
For this week I am choosing the ‘subject’ of my dog. Really want to get some good drawings done of her… if she sits still long enough that is. Here is a quick one I did today:
Drawing (literally) on the encouragement of Danny Gregory, I have started a month long online Awesome Art Journaling course with Koosje Koene from Amsterdam. Although I have never stopped actually drawing, it has tended to be things that I am making, working drawings really, so the chance to actually sit and look at something and attempt to draw it was a chance not to be missed.
So, here is my effort for day 1.
I collect feathers whenever I find them in the woods when out with herself (my beautiful dog, Tilly). God only knows if most of them are from common or garden pigeons, but I know that some are your actual Jay’s feathers – which is weird as my hubby’s name is Jay, but he is not feathered….at least I have never noticed.
I am really looking forward to drawing every day for at least the next month, when the idea is that all of us ‘students’ will not be able to stop and will continue to draw all the time. Yay for that!!!
This might just be a much more Awesome January than any previous one – ever. x
