Making, printing, selling – a catch-up post!

While I have updated my shop and changed the look of this website, I do seem to forget to post on here! Sorry! I haven’t been totally idle though…..

I’ve been busy making new original prints, delivering linocut workshops and selling at many art and designer-maker events over the year. One of the loveliest shows I was fortunate to be accepted for was PrintFest 2019, in Ulverston, Cumbria. It was such an honour to be involved in this event and to be in the company of so many artisan printmakers whom I admire.

I won’t describe every event I have done so far this year as they were many and varied! But I have tried to do fairs new to me, including The Saltaire Makers Fair, with many other amazing designer-makers. If you have never been to Saltaire, north of Bradford, I would highly recommend it – such a beautiful village with a fascinating social history. I also had two gallery exhibitions – at Focus Gallery in Nottingham and The Green Man Gallery in Buxton. Then I have three more fairs to do this year – next up is Sheffield Print Fair (always a firm favourite and a well attended show), then the re-instated Artfest at Holmfirth, which is organised by the very lovely Suzi Thompson who helps run Sheffield Print Fair (she knows what she’s doing!!). Last but not least I will be at the Welbeck Winter Weekend, which I have applied to for about 4 years and finally been accepted!! Really looking forward to this as it is set in a beautiful venue, and again, is usually a well attended event for designer-makers.

Apart from the art fairs, I am preparing for some more workshops, trying to get my head around hand printed christmas card designs (aaghh, yes, already!), and planning new work for these last fairs. Aaaannnndd…….making a promise to myself to post more often on here instead of just on my facebook and instagram pages. (I said I would try).

I have an online shop!!! Woo!

screen-shot-2016-10-24-at-19-27-49Well, finally I have stopped procrastinating long enough to do some research on shopping carts, (my life is SO exciting), only to find out that I can’t embed one on this website/blog. Not to worry though, as it’s the easiest thing to link to another site, and best of all, it appears to be working!

I have (most of) my original prints on there as well as a good selection of greetings cards (including some suitable for Christmas!) and I will be updating as and when I do more prints! Please do have a gander – just click on the picture above and you will be directed to the site. Once there, if you want to return to this blog, just click on ‘return to site’ in the right hand column.

Oh – you thought I’d forgotten didn’t you?  Alright then, go on, have free shipping for all orders for one month, use this code at the checkout – NEWSHOPPOST – and don’t keep it to yourself – tell your friends and family!!

(Offer ends 30th Nov 2016)
