“You want to put those on ebay you know……”

Yes, it was one of those conversations. You know, the ones where you try to explain to someone precisely why you actually don’t want to ‘put those on ebay’.

I may be a beginner at creating my artwork and therefore selling it (this being one of the primary intentions), but I am not a complete idiot about where I wish it to be seen and hopefully sold. I have actually spent time thinking about that, in great depth. I have  done my research, evaluated my ideas and come to my own conclusions which, strangely, do not involve ebay. (Or Etsy or folksy for that matter).

So, I tried to explain about those rooms with stuff on the walls that are called “galleries”, or “art shops’ or whatever those little shops are called that sell lots of things for your home that are handmade (emporium?).
It was an uphill struggle, this conversation, leaving my companion with a puzzled look as to why I wouldn’t want to pile it high and sell it cheap? Because…Oh, never mind.

Nay, I say never.

I’m new here, as Gil Scott Heron would say…

Hello to anyone who is reading this.

So, as I said, I’m new to this blogging type thing but will do what I can to make it interesting, and not to be just some rant from a middle aged woman who wants to promote her art and anything else she feels like making.

That’s kind of it at the moment, more to come when I’ve uploaded some images of what I do and what I hope some of you will like.

Have a happy Thursday!
