Port Meirion prints finished

I didn’t realise how long it has been since I last posted..and I did promise to show the finished prints of these views…a long time ago!

They are all 15 x 20cm (image size) and are 10 colour reduction linocuts, in an edition of 20 each image. I will be adding these to my shop soon @£70 mounted and cello wrapped.

Author: Nancy Power

'Printmaker Nancy Power's work reflects the life around her. Be it a changing rural landscape, the decaying plants in her garden, or her collection of hand crafted ceramics, she finds inspiration from many sources. Deliberately eclectic in subject matter, her work is harmonised by her colour palette and distinctive inking process. Nancy uses the reduction method of lino printmaking; carving away at just one block for each consecutive colour to reveal the final image. By inking from dark to light, as opposed to the more traditional light to dark, Nancy's work has engaging depth and colour layering.'

  1. Nancy – these look lovely. Portmerion is one of my favourite places, even though I haven’t been there for many, many years. I have a dear friend who lives in North Wales and we walked through the woods one day to happen across this magical place that looked like a film set. Have you stayed there ?

Oh dear, I have emailed Jill D to say that I might have train problems on Sat – engineering works on the line. I am going to check whether they will be running a limited service but I’m not optimistic. I have been so looking forward to seeing everyone. The penalties of living in the country…….

    How are you ?

    With love Irene x
