Some coastal scenes..nearly finished

I’m still busy busy, getting ready for the BCTF (British Craft Trade Fair) at the beginning of April. Too busy to post too it would seem! Here are a few process photos of some views of Port Meirion in Wales. I will be doing some prints of the place itself, because I love it, but I do also love the view away from it, across the estuary with the sand banks and hills in the background. Just a couple of layers to go then I should be done. I realise that some of the colours may look a bit weird, but they will be covered up with the next layer.
I will post much nicer photos when they are finished!

Author: Nancy Power

'Printmaker Nancy Power's work reflects the life around her. Be it a changing rural landscape, the decaying plants in her garden, or her collection of hand crafted ceramics, she finds inspiration from many sources. Deliberately eclectic in subject matter, her work is harmonised by her colour palette and distinctive inking process. Nancy uses the reduction method of lino printmaking; carving away at just one block for each consecutive colour to reveal the final image. By inking from dark to light, as opposed to the more traditional light to dark, Nancy's work has engaging depth and colour layering.'
