neo:printprize exhibition

So happy to get notification that both my prints have been accepted into this year’s neo:printprize at the neo:gallery in Bolton.

The exhibition will be on from 25th August to 30th October 2016 – at neo:gallery 27, Market Place, Bolton.

I was beginning to give up hope of getting into any exhibition this year, although I was surprised to get past the second round for the Royal Academy summer exhibition, even though I didn’t make the final cut. Not going to let it get me down though, I’ve got too much to do for my christmas fairs, so I better get a wriggle on…

Author: Nancy Power

'Printmaker Nancy Power's work reflects the life around her. Be it a changing rural landscape, the decaying plants in her garden, or her collection of hand crafted ceramics, she finds inspiration from many sources. Deliberately eclectic in subject matter, her work is harmonised by her colour palette and distinctive inking process. Nancy uses the reduction method of lino printmaking; carving away at just one block for each consecutive colour to reveal the final image. By inking from dark to light, as opposed to the more traditional light to dark, Nancy's work has engaging depth and colour layering.'

  1. Hi Nancy That’s brilliant news… I have a good friend who lives in Chorley, so I’ll see if I can visit this gallery when I go over to see her. Sorry I never took you up on the workshop idea we discussed in the phone, but I have it on my wish list. Thanks Best wishes Sue Warren

    1. Thanks Sue! If you can make it to the gallery it will definitely be worth it. There are some very talented printmakers in the exhibition, I think it will be a great show!
No worries about the workshop, whenever!
