I’m getting my work together for the next two fairs at the beginning of July; Dot Spread in Leeds on the 2nd and The Sheffield Print Fair on the 9th. I’m really looking forward to both of these friendly events!
I’m working on a few prints and this little hosta is one of them. It’s going to be another addition to my ‘Botanical’ series, which I am adding to every now and then. Here’s some process photos so far:

'Printmaker Nancy Power's work reflects the life around her. Be it a changing rural landscape, the decaying plants in her garden, or her collection of hand crafted ceramics, she finds inspiration from many sources.
Deliberately eclectic in subject matter, her work is harmonised by her colour palette and distinctive inking process.
Nancy uses the reduction method of lino printmaking; carving away at just one block for each consecutive colour to reveal the final image. By inking from dark to light, as opposed to the more traditional light to dark, Nancy's work has engaging depth and colour layering.'

Hi Sue, thank you! I’m pleased with it so far, but there’s another five or six colours to go on yet….
Hope you can make it to one of the fairs x
Looking good Nancy – love hostas. It will go great with your other prints : )
Thanks Linda! So glad you like it. I do love hostas too, they lend themselves to lino printing so well x
