My little print for this year’s IPE

Just one more layer to go then I can get these editioned and in the post to sunny Derby for this year’s International Print Echange (IPE). This is run by Greendoor Printmaking Studio in Derby. And I had better get a wriggle on as the closing date is the 31st August…..and I still have one more layer to go. And they have to dry… Oh, there I go again thinking I have enough time. Anyway, here is the progress so far. The prints have to be 10cm x 10cm, so pretty small, and for some reason I decide to do a fiddly image!  When I have printed the final layer I will post that in a day or so.

I see this view when I walk my dog by the fields, I may do all four seasons of this one!

Author: Nancy Power

'Printmaker Nancy Power's work reflects the life around her. Be it a changing rural landscape, the decaying plants in her garden, or her collection of hand crafted ceramics, she finds inspiration from many sources. Deliberately eclectic in subject matter, her work is harmonised by her colour palette and distinctive inking process. Nancy uses the reduction method of lino printmaking; carving away at just one block for each consecutive colour to reveal the final image. By inking from dark to light, as opposed to the more traditional light to dark, Nancy's work has engaging depth and colour layering.'
